The Rural Eastern Ontario Innovation Initiative (REOII) funding is allocated to innovative projects from businesses and organizations located in the Prescott-Russell area that will:
- increase the number of high-growth businesses;
- strenghten key clusters and build on areas of regional innovation strength;
- increase the commercialization of new and innovative technologies, products or processes;
- create and maintain highly skilled jobs;
- increade the value of exports;
- promote inclusive growth and participation of traditionally under-represented groups such as women, Indigenous and young entrepreneurs;
- strenghten opportunities and networks to drive growth, and support the attraction and retention of businesses and talent to the Prescott-Russell region.
